MESSAGE From Books and Dreams
Friday October 29th at 2pm on KMSU 89.7fm or KMSU.org The whole album by the Psych-prog group MESSAGE titled Of Books and Dreams will air. This is a great set of cosmic jazz fused with psychedelic and progressive styles of 70s music. Allan Murdoch Horst Stachelhaus Tom McGuigan and Gunther Klinger do a superb job of blending their instruments and vocals to bring forth a quality release from 1973. I believe the great Dieter Dierks had his hand in producing or engineering this album. Any time you see Dieter's name on a record album you can bet it's worth a spin. The last portion of the program follows the Message album with a selection from SKY and one from The BlueMan Group. Put on some head phones and give a listen. You won't be disappointed.

Blues-off
On Friday October 22 2010 and every Friday following @ 2pm on KMSU 89.7 independent public radio or KMSU.org a program titled the Psycho-acoustics hour is carried on the airwaves. Psychedelic music of the 60s and 70s is most often the presented genre. Sometimes prog rock, cosmic jazz, kraut rock, blues, fusion and other styles are blended into the programs. This week Dr. Psycho-acoustics and his guest Blues Boy Bob are having a blues-off. BBB will submit a tune and the Doctor will with one of his own prescriptions. The turntables were troublesome during the recording of this program, but that will be remedied by the next program on Friday October 29th. Every Friday @ 2pm on KMSU 89.7 or KMSU.org the Psycho-acoustics hour is presented. Turn your dials or link your computer to the show and listen to outstanding music for your ears. Then leave a comment or two, suggest music, ask about rare records, or critique the program. Happy listening.
